Nancy Liston and Liston Studios

Nancy Liston has worked in art studios for decades. Nancy began her artistic career as a surface designer, specializing in textile design. She thrived in the recreational sportswear market, where she designed woven and knit fabrics as well as the original prints featured on them. Her painting skills led to commissions for portraits and large-scale paintings for personal collectors and destination resorts. Her collection of architectural vignettes is a mix of quick plein air sketches made during her travels and studio pieces inspired by her personal travel photography. Each small watercolor captures the isolated magic of a single facade, doorway, or window—focusing entirely on the memories, textures, and shifting light of historic spaces.
