Welcome to My Italian Decor. We are a woman-owned small business dedicated to bringing the timeless artistry of Italy into your home.

When you shop with us, you are supporting a small business with over 30 years of experience and deep-rooted relationships in Italy. Our owner, Elisabetta, lived in Italy for many years and continues to travel there twice a year to hand-select every item in our collection. Unlike mass-market retailers, we work directly with master artisans, ensuring that every piece is curated with love, expertise, and a commitment to preserving traditional Italian crafts.

Yes, You can be assured that all of our products are authentically made in Italy. We care deeply about promoting the craftsmanship of Italian artisans. We take this very seriously.

Authenticity is the cornerstone of our business. We work directly with the artists and glass furnaces—never through middle-men or mass-production factories.

  • Murano Glass: All our Murano pieces come from the island of Murano in Venice and include a Certificate of Authenticity.
  • Artisan Direct: Our Florentine wood, ceramics, and leather goods are sourced directly from the family workshops where they have been made for generations.
  • Florentine WoodOur trays and home accessories are made by master woodworkers in Florence. They use traditional methods, including hand-carving and the application of genuine gold and silver leaf—techniques that haven't changed since the Renaissance.

Yes. We take the heritage of Venetian glassmaking very seriously. Every piece of Murano Glass purchased from My Italian Decor comes with our official Paper Certificate of Authenticity, stating that the item was handcrafted on the island of Murano, Italy.

In addition to our certificate, you may notice further marks of hand-craftsmanship:

  • Artisan Signatures: In many cases, especially with high-end or one-of-a-kind art pieces, the master glassmaker will hand-etch their signature into the bottom of the glass using a diamond-tipped tool.
  • The "Vetro Artistico® Murano" Trademark: Some of our partner furnaces also include the official collective trademark sticker issued by the Promovetro Consortium.
  • Our Guarantee: Regardless of whether a piece is signed or stickered, we stand behind the authenticity of every item in our shop. Because we work directly with the furnaces in Venice and skip the middleman, we can personally vouch for the origin and quality of every glass treasure we ship.

While Venetian glass and Murano glass are related, they are not exactly the same thing. Murano glass is a type of Venetian glass, but it is glass produced on the island of Murano.
