These glasses show a stunning example of "controlled bubble glass," where bubbles are meticulously spaced and suspended within the glass.
Controlled bubble glass, also known as Bullicante, features embedded bubbles that were particularly popular among Murano glass artists in the 1950s. The bubbles are formed by rolling molten glass over a spiked metal surface, creating holes that are then sealed with another layer of glass, trapping air inside.
