Each brilliantly colored glass thread is individually cut and positioned by skilled Italian artisans, honoring a tradition that traces back to 5th-century Ravenna. This intricate art form nearly vanished but was revived in 19th-century Florence, where master craftspeople continue perfecting the painstaking process today.
