Murano Filigrana Glass Beaded Earrings.
Filigrana is a traditional technique, which dates back to the 16th century in Murano, Italy. Long glass rods, transparent and colored, are laid out in a symmetrical pattern, then rolled onto a blow pipe and blown into to expand into a bead. See short video here of the glass master shaping the bead. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TM7anIisk5E
Each bead is painstakingly made one by one, creating a unique piece of art. This is the same process for larger objects like perfume bottles and vases.
