Murano Glass Photo Frame, Gold with murrine mosaic accents

This beautiful glass photo frame is handmade in Murano, Italy. Gold glass with accents of bits of white and black glass and murrine mosaics. 

The artisan uses a technique called "Avventurina". Discovered in Murano in the early 17th century, Avventurina is achieved by adding metallic components such as gold with  is slowly crystallized out of the molten glass. 

This statement piece measures 5 1/4"H x 4 1/8" W outside measurement, and will hold a photo approximately 3 3/8" H x 2 1/4" W.
